"I am Head of Online Partners," Marjonel Vader begins. "This means I am ultimately responsible for all external partners and the collections we sell through them." It is 2021 when Marjonel makes her entrance at WE Fashion: she initially starts as a Marketplace Account Specialist, but quickly grows into her current position. "This was an exciting step, but with all the experience and knowledge available within the organisation, I learned quickly. By now, I feel completely at home within the department and can put my knowledge to good use as I work with others towards common goals." According to her, her team goes all out to achieve the best results. A good development, as the team is an essential link between the Buying, Marketing and Merchandising teams, logistical organisation and commercial teams of partners. "We look for the right associates and maintain our existing relationships. Team spirit is essential here." WE Fashion's cooperative nature is also of great importance. "This concerns the organisation, as well as everything outside it," Marjonel explains. "WE® works with eight successful partners, including Wehkamp, Zalando and About You. Through them, our collection is sold in over 20 countries. By making our online partners part of our 'Better Together' culture, creating a good strategy becomes easier for both parties and we come up with great opportunities as well as new challenges."

On a daily basis, my team and I think about ways to fill our available spaces as smart and efficient as possible, while taking new and existing customers into account. In short, grabbing all opportunities and continuously reflecting," Marjonel says. "Online Partners is very versatile. We are not just responsible for putting our collections online, because to be perfectly honest, the process only starts there. We think of something, get to work on it and about five minutes later we're all sitting around the table talking about the implementation." According to Marjonel, it is, therefore, precisely this speed and diversity that make her job so much fun. "You look at the full breadth of the organisation - from logistics to marketing - and, with the input of these teams, come up with new ideas to take the cooperation with an online partner to the next level. When Marjonel looks back at the steps she's already been able to make, she can't help but be satisfied: "I am really proud of my team. In 2021, we won the ZMS Partner Award, an award from our partner Zalando for the brand with the best marketing campaigns. This was a nice surprise and very special milestone for us." About the future, she says the following: "I picture myself today – and many years from now – at WE Fashion. I have a great time here, do something new every day and never get bored. My team and I are always open to innovation and a new challenge. I hope to keep developing Online Partners together with them," Marjonel adds.
