New Challenge

"When I started at WE Fashion, it was a new challenge within a unique company culture," says Herman Quirindoongo, Store Manager of WE Rotterdam. "I was already familiar with retail management, but at WE® I truly found my place. As a Store Manager, I am responsible for the entire store operation and the well-being of my team. In the process, I was able to develop my leadership skills by managing a larger team than I was used to.”

"The most valuable aspect of my job is undoubtedly the diversity and the fun we have together," says Herman. "I work every day with a fantastic team; we are constantly developing our skills and achieving our goals. This not only creates a positive work environment but also strengthens our team spirit." According to Herman, his colleagues are essential to the store's success. "I always try to think along and ensure that everyone stays motivated. A good atmosphere is crucial, and that includes motivated colleagues," he explains. "When they feel good, the team spirit is good too." Herman is proud of the growth he sees in his team members and the contribution he can make to it. "It is great to see how team members develop and progress to Assistant Store Manager (ASM) or Store Manager (SM) in another store. Additionally, it feels good when customers specifically come back for our service. We regularly hear how happy they are with our personal attention and expertise, and how much they appreciate our team and service. Customers also often leave positive reviews, which confirms that we are on the right track. This positive feedback gives us a lot of satisfaction."

A Future Full of Opportunities

Herman has developed in various areas and seized opportunities. "I act as a buddy for (new) Store Managers and nationally train store employees and teams in Store Stars, a program that ensures an optimal customer experience," says Herman. "It is inspiring to motivate others and see them grow, and that is something that gives me daily satisfaction. No matter what happens, I am determined to further develop my career at WE Fashion. At WE Fashion, we not only work together, but we also grow together. And that makes every day special."
